Ms.Azoubel is currently working as a dance professor and the head of the Department of Arts Education at the Federal University of Paraná, in Brazil.
Since 1996, she has been working as a dancer, teacher and choreographer for the Center for the World Arts, the Center for Latin American Studies and the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Florida.
She founded the first Brazilian Dance Ensemble at the University of Florida: "Jacaré Dançante" and has been the main dancer, teacher and choreographer for the World Music and Dance Ensemble "Jacaré Brazil".
She got a bachelors degree in Dance(2001) and a Masters degree in Latin American Studies (concentration in Dance and Brazilian Culture) from the University of Florida(2007, validated in Brazil at Unicamp).
She is the author of the book "Frevo and the Contemporary Dance Scene in Pernambuco, Brazil: Staging 100 Years of Tradition" (2012)
